According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor is unlikely to move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, as the striker wants to remain the Premier League.
Villa are open to offers for the 29-year-old front man, and Wolves have apparently joined Burnley in the race for his signature.
However, despite signs of interest, both Championship clubs are set to be disappointed as Agbonlahor does not want to drop down a level.
The rapid forward believes that he has the ability to continue to play in the Premier League, and he is hoping that a club from the top tier will come in for him.
Agbonlahor has rarely featured for Villa since Remi Garde took charge, and the French boss has been public in his criticism of the forward.
Agbonlahor has played 10 times for Villa this season, but he has failed to score - leading to talk of him heading for the exit.
The Claret and Blues are keen to make additions in January to try and give themselves some sort of hope of survival, and they are keen to sell Agbonlahor to make room for some new arrivals.
