The Dutch media outlet claims that the Foxes are lurking around Milik and are ready to make a move for the 21-year-old Polish international, rather than risk losing him to Marseille, who also want him.
The striker has scored 34 goals and created 20 more in 59 games for Ajax since linking up with the Dutch giants in 2014, originally on loan. He joined the club in 2014 on a season-long deal from Bayer Leverkusen, before agreeing his permanent signing in the summer of 2015.
However, despite only being at the club for half a season as a full time employee, Leicester are ready to swoop in a bring the Polish star to the Premier League.
Milik, who has 10 goals in 22 games for Poland playing alongside Robert Lewandowski, would need to be guaranteed playing time for the rest of this season if he was going to transfer to Leicester.
He is looking to keep his place in his international side ahead of Euro 2016, and is currently playing every week for Ajax. If he was to link up with Claudio Ranieri’s men as a back-up option, the move would not be wise at this stage of his career.
However, Milik is certainly good enough to be a leading striker for a Premier League side right now, and Leicester would be foolish to not move for the youngster as soon as possible this month.
