HITC Sport understands Norwich are poised to sign a Portuguese defender.
Norwich City have agreed a deal to sign Dinamo Zagreb defender Ivo Pinto, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Norwich boss Alex Neil has been looking to bolster his defensive options in this month's transfer window and he has lined up a deal for right-back Pinto.
Pinto, who joined Zagreb two years ago from FC Cluj, has attracted the interest of a number of clubs after impressing for Dinamo for the last couple of seasons.
The 25-year-old was part of the Dinamo side that played twice against Arsenal in the Champions League this season and his performances came to the attention of Norwich scouts.
Norwich have agreed a fee of £2.2 million for the former Portugal Under-21 international, with Pinto expected to sign a three-and-half-year deal at Carrow Road.
Norwich are just waiting on international clearance being received for them to finalise the move for the attacking full-back.
Pinto will become Norwich's second signing of this month's transfer window after they made Matt Jarvis's loan move from West Ham United into a permanent deal, and the club are expected to make further signings to add to the squad as they look to secure Premier League survival.
