Nick Blackman has expressed his delight on Twitter after completing a move to Derby County from Reading.
Blackman’s move to Derby was announced yesterday, with the forward signing a three and a half year deal at the iPro Stadium.
The 26-year-old rejected Sheffield Wednesday to sign for Paul Clement’s side, according to Sky Sports, and he says that he is excited to get started with the Midlands club.
He posted: "Absolutely delighted to have joined @dcfcofficial very exciting times here which I can't wait to be apart of ! Would Also like to thank everyone at @readingfc for there continued support throughout my time spent there ..I made some friends for life & wish them nothing but success in the future."
Blackman is expected to go straight into Derby’s team for their FA Cup clash against Hartlepool United at the weekend.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form this season with Reading, and he has netted 13 times in 28 games for the Royals.
Blackman is currently enjoying his richest vein of form at Championship level, and his arrival adds further quality to Derby’s already impressive attacking ranks.
Blackman became Derby’s second addition of the January transfer window, after Abdoul Camara also completed a move to the iPro Stadium earlier in the week.
