The Leeds favourite is training with the Millers - ahead of their FA Cup tie against United this weekend.
The 32-year-old has played up front for Leeds but has also spent time on loan at Rotherham.
And, ahead of the Millers' FA Cup clash with the Whites this weekend, Redfearn has confirmed Becchio is training with the club, praising the 'prolific' forward.
NR: On Becchio training with #rufc "Luciano looks really good. He's somebody I know from my time at Leeds. He was prolific there."— Rotherham United (@OfficialRUFC) January 7, 2016
Meanwhile, Redfearn has also claimed that 'all Steve Evans' sides' want to compete and win.
Redfearn and Evans have exchanged a few words through press conferences since they took over at each other's former clubs.
On this occasion, however, the ex-Leeds head coach was complimentary about the ex-Rotherham boss.
NR: "It'll be a full-blooded cup tie. All Steve Evans' sides want to compete and win. So we have to go there with the same mentality."— Rotherham United (@OfficialRUFC) January 7, 2016
Is it purely coincidental that a former Leeds manager has taken a former Leeds forward on for training ahead of his side's FA Cup clash with Leeds?
However it works out for Becchio at Rotherham, it seems clear United aren't interested in a return for the Argentine - even if some fans would want nothing less than him back at Elland Road.
Can the Millers beat Evans' men again or will Leeds continue their unbeaten run this weekend?
