A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Liverpool Football Club this Thursday morning.
Liverpool will try and sign a new centre-back on loan this January in order to ease their injury crisis in defence, with The Times reporting that Borussia Dortmund's Neven Subotic is a target for such a deal given Jurgen Klopp's relationship with the player.
Their report states that having targeted Joel Matip from Schalke for a summer move, the Reds find little value in recruiting someone on a permanent basis during this window, but Dortmund are unlikely to entertain such an offer - suggesting the Bundesliga side are unlikely to sanction a temporary move at this stage of the season.
Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren are all ruled out of tomorrow night's FA Cup third round tie at Exeter City, while Liverpool expect to discover the extent of injuries picked up by Lovren and Philippe Coutinho from Tuesday's League Cup win over Stoke City today.
Ojo - who has made 17 appearances for Wolves this season - is likely to return in time to be part of the squad for the trip to Exeter.
Allen put in an impressive performance in Tuesday night's win over Stoke City but has not been a regular under Jurgen Klopp.
He's quoted, saying: “From my point of view it is about knuckling down, doing my job and giving my best, which I always do.”
