A young Leeds United forward looks set for a spell away from the club.
The 19-year-old is said to have trained with the non-league club on Thursday ahead of a formal agreement being reached.
McDaid is highly rated at Elland Road and in time he is expected to have a good chance of breaking into the first-team. However, that is some way off and a temporary switch would allow him to get regular senior football under his belt before challenging the likes of Lee Erwin and Frank Mulhern further down the line.
McDaid is a current Northern Ireland under-21 international and this season he has been playing with Leeds’ development squad under the tutelage of Paul Hart.
But with Lincoln pushing hard for a play-off spot in the Vanarama National League this could be the first step in what could well be a very successful career for Leeds' teenage striker.
