Josh Windass sends message to both Accrington and Rangers fans on remainder of 2015/16

Josh Windass says he will remains committed to Accrington despite his impending Rangers switch.

Young talent Josh Windass has sent a message confirming his commitment to Accrington Stanley between now and the end of the season.

Rangers confirmed via their club website this week that Windass and Accrington teammate Matt Crooks have signed pre-contract deals to join up in the summer.

Windass, posting via Twitter, described it as a proud day, but insists he is looking forward to continuing the season with the League Two side.

SkySports had reported Rangers had made an offer to sign both players six months early, but this has been unsuccessful.

Rangers are top of the Scottish Championship but are closely followed by Falkirk and Hibernian, and any slip ups could cost them a place back in the top flight next season.

Accrington Stanley are in England's League Two and amid a promotion race themselves. They are currently in seventh place, a play-off spot, and Windass and Crooks could potentially bow out on the ultimate high at Wembley.
