Rangers are set to sign Josh Windass from Accrington Stanley in the summer, having agreed a pre-contract agreement with him.
The young midfielder, 21, has been in exceptional form this season for Stanley, netting 10 goals and creating four more in 22 games in League Two.
His form caught the eye of Mark Warburton, who has ensured Windass will be playing at Ibrox next season. Josh Crooks also signed a pre-contract agreement with the Gers, having also impressed for Stanley this season.
Following the confirmation of the deals, one former player had his say on the move of Windass - a player with a personal connection to the youngster.
Dean Windass is the father of young Josh, with the now-retired journeyman forward taking to his Twitter account to send a heartfelt message of congratulations to the 21-year-old for signing with ‘massive’ club Rangers.

Windass will not link up with his new team until next season, but Rangers fans are already getting excited at the prospect of seeing another promising talent line up at Ibrox as part of Warburton’s excellent first-team squad.
