Tottenham's promising season so far is the result of patience, planning and giving their current setup time.
In a season and a half, Mauricio Pochettino has taken the north London side forward and really stamped his mark on this Tottenham team. Success at the end of the season isn't guaranteed - but a place in the top four looks likely if the rest of the current campaign is anything like the first half at White Hart Lane.
And Liverpool fans in particular can look on with some hope. Pochettino was an up and coming coach who enjoyed a good spell at Southampton. He was taken on by Tottenham and supported with good recruitment and a buying into his way of doing things.
So, with Jurgen Klopp's track record, imagine how far Liverpool could potentially go if he's given the same?
The German is a man who has won league and cup titles, having also reached the Champions League final. He's had some good and bad results so far at Anfield but so did Pochettino in his first season at Tottenham.
If Klopp can be allowed the authority to sell who he wants, keep who he wants and recruit who he deems good enough, Liverpool will come on leaps and bounds. Tottenham's improvement proves there is a simple recipe for success. If FSG can avoid their desire to overcomplicate things, the German could have a huge impact on the Premier League next season.
