Report: Derby County, Bournemouth and Swansea keen on Chelsea’s Islam Feruz

Derby County, Bournemouth and Swansea are all looking at the Chelsea youngster.

Derby, Bournemouth and Swansea are all keen on signing Islam Feruz of Chelsea on loan, the Mirror reports.

The 20-year-old striker has spent the first half of this season on loan with Hibs, but his lack of game time has led many to suggest the Blues will recall him.

The Scottish youth international has managed just six appearances for the Scottish Championship side, and with other teams interested in him, Chelsea could recall him with the view of sending him back on loan.

It is reported that Swansea and Bournemouth are looking to bring the youngster in to provide cover for their striking positions, whilst Championship side Derby are also credited with an interest - although Feruz would likely not play much with the Rams.

Feruz has spent a short spell in the Championship previously, playing two games for Blackpool last season, and despite his impressive scoring record in youth football, he has yet to ever impress at the competitive level.

His other loan spell was a disastrous three-game spell with OFI Crete at the beginning of last term, and Feruz has yet to score a goal in senior football.

Clearly this has not deterred the three interested parties, and they are sure to make approaches for the youngster in the coming days.
