HITC Sport understands Queens Park Rangers and Ipswich are tracking the former Leeds loanee.

Championship duo Queens Park Rangers and Ipswich Town are weighing up moves for former Leeds United defender Dario Del Fabro.

Italian Under-20 international Del Frabo joined Leeds last summer from Cagliari on transfer deadline day, but he made just one appearance in the FA Cup clash against Sunderland.

Del Fabro is currently out on loan at Ascoli in Serie B and the talented central defender has impressed during his loan stint.

The 20-year-old, who has featured in Serie A with Cagliari, is regarded as one of the best young defenders in Italy and his performances have alerted both QPR and Ipswich.

QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is keen to add to his defensive options as he looks to turn things around at Loftus Road, while Mick McCarthy is looking to add to his squad as he aims to maintain Ipswich's push for promotion.

Del Fabro is thought to be keen on a return to England despite his lack of playing time at Leeds last season and QPR and Ipswich could be ready to offer the defender a second chance at playing in the Championship.
