Clearly there are no hard feelings for Mesut Ozil.
Despite being sold by Real Madrid in September 2013, the German international retains an affection for the club and an interest in how they are getting on.
The Frenchman was appointed as the new Real Madrid boss this week, after the sacking of Rafa Benitez.
Zidane worked with Mesut Ozil at Real during his time at the club, with the ex-Ballon d'Or winner the sporting director when the German was sold to Arsenal.
Ozil gave his verdict on the appointment via Twitter, with a big thumbs up towards Zidane.
A good decision! One of the greatest football players of all time is Real Madrid head coach now! All the best to Zizou!#Zidane— Mesut Özil (@MesutOzil1088) January 5, 2016
Ozil's message seems like it is from the heart, and shows that he is class act off the pitch as well as on it.
He is enjoying his best ever season at Arsenal and will not be regretting leaving Real, but he clearly will be following how they get on, with more interest than ever.
