Three Peterborough United players Leeds United could be looking at, including Jack Baldwin

Elland Road East Stand

Leeds United are known to be interested in some Peterborough United players.

With Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony confirming that Leeds United have made enquiries to him about signing some players from the ABAX Stadium, we take a look at three potential candidates who are likely to be on the Yorkshire outfit’s radar.

Conor Washington

Washington has taken just over 18 months to really start firing for Posh, but since the appointment of Graham Westley he has been prolific.

The 23-year-old now has 12 goals in his last 13 appearances, and looks to be one of the most dangerous front man in the entirety of League One.

Posh are likely to demand a big fee for Washington.

Marcus Maddison

Steve Evans has confirmed that Leeds have submitted a bid for a wide man, as reported by HITC yesterday.

Maddison could fit the bill, given that he has looked one of the most exciting players in the Football League.

The former Gateshead man is capable of playing in a number of positions, but his best form has come while playing down the left-hand side for Posh.

Maddison has scored seven goals in 23 games this season, and already looks capable of making the step up a level.

Jack Baldwin

The centre back was out for over a year with injury, but his quality is undoubted.

Baldwin was being tracked by Premier League clubs before damaging his knee ligaments, but he stepped back into Peterborough’s team and put in a Man of the Match performance in their latest victory over Sheffield United.
