The 28-year-old has been largely disappointing for the Red Devils this term.
The Sun claims that AC Milan are one of a number of clubs that are interested in signing the 28-year-old on loan. However, United have rejected any approaches for Fellaini, with Louis van Gaal clearly a fan of what the former Everton man can bring to the side.
However, Fellaini has been poor in recent weeks - and is still arguably yet to prove himself at United - and, having started every game in their recent four-game losing streak, his dropping from the starting line-up coincided with the end of the run which saw van Gaal's men draw with Chelsea and beat Swansea City.
While the Belgian has struggled for form since joining the Red Devils - with the £27.5m fee (via The Sun) perhaps weighing very heavily on his shoulders - he can play in several positions, including up front as a target man, which appears to have convinced his manager that he needs him to stick around for the rest of the season as they look to earn a place in the Premier League's top four.
