The winger recently returned from a disastrous loan spell with West Bromwich Albion.
The youngster had been on loan at West Bromwich Albion this season, but that loan spell was cut short after he made just one Premier League appearance for Tony Pulis’ side.
He is unlikely to feature for Arsenal’s first team this season though, with him far down the pecking order for a place on the wing at the Emirates this season.
Manager Arsene Wenger has Alexis Sanchez, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey who can all play right wing, while Theo Walcott can also play there instead of in the loan striker role he’s preferred this season.
And Brighton are keen to make a move for him, as they eye a loan move until the end of the season, reports the Daily Mail.
They are currently fourth in the table and just four points from Derby County in second place, and will feel that additional signigns in January could boost their hopes of securing an automatic qualification place.
