Report: Bournemouth want Norwich City stopper John Ruddy

John Ruddy has dropped out of favour at Norwich City in recent weeks.

According to a report on Sky Sports, Bournemouth could launch a bid to sign John Ruddy from Norwich City this month.

The Cherries are reportedly on the look out for a new goalkeeper, as Artur Boruc has failed to convince so far this campaign.

The Polish goalkeeper has put in some erratic displays, and signing a goalkeeper has become one of Bournemouth’s top priorities in the January transfer window.

Eddie Howe’s side are currently above the drop zone in the Premier League, but they are eager to strengthen their squad, as they bid for survival.

And Ruddy has jumped to the top of the south coast side’s wishlist, as they believe they could do a deal with Norwich.

Ruddy has fallen out of favour at Carrow Road this season, with Declan Rudd replacing him as the club’s number one.

Ruddy has looked short of confidence, and has been guilty of making numerous errors for Norwich this term.

However, Howe apparently believes that he could restore the former England international back to his best - and he could submit an offer in the coming weeks.
