According to a report by Gianluca di Marzio, Bournemouth have joined the race to sign Albero Paloschi though the likelihood of him leaving Chievo this month is said to be slim.
The former Italy U21 international has been in good goal scoring form this season, netting six times in 15 Serie A appearances while also contributing with a further two assists.
Recent reports on Calciomercato accredited Swansea City with an interest – speculation which comes as little surprise considering the Swans’ struggles in front of goal this season.
Bournemouth haven’t had such problems in attack, yet the injured Callum Wilson leaves them with a void to fill and boss Eddie Howe is seemingly intent on adding to his squad this month.
“Bournemouth's new target is Chievo striker Alberto Paloschi, who was also linked to Atalanta. While Bournemouth is interested it does not appear that Paloschi will leave Chievo,” the report reads.
Bournemouth have fared well so far in their debut season in the Premier League, acquiring 21 points from 20 matches and enjoying wins over Chelsea and Manchester United.
They currently occupy 16th positon in the table, two points clear of managerless Swansea and a further two points clear of Newcastle United who sit in the relegation zone.
A new striker would boost the Cherries bid to avoid the drop this season, though with Chievo doing well in Serie A, tempting Paloschi away from the Italian club could prove quite difficult.
