Watford striker Troy Deeney has emerged as a shock transfer target for Arsenal, report The Star.
Deeney, 27, has carried on his prolific partnership with Odion Ighalo which clinched promotion to the Premier League, continuing to score goals in the top flight.
The Englishman has scored six times in 20 appearances this season, providing five assists.
Could a move really happen?
Troy Deeney like most strikers would thrive playing alongside Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, but that does not mean Arsene Wenger will do a deal.
The Frenchman is notoriously picky about who he signs, and always looks for value in the transfer market.
It is unlikely he will consider £20 million for Deeney a fair price - taking the view that he would be buying high with the striker's value more inflated than ever, although from Watford's perspective, keeping him and ensuring they keep their momentum this season may just be priceless.
