Rafa Benitez has been fired by Real Madrid after just half a season at the Bernabeu, with The BBC reporting Zinedine Zidane has been appointed as his replacement.
It should come as little surprise that the Spaniard has not lasted long at a club known for being ruthless with it's managers, sacking Carlo Ancelotti one year after winning the Champions League.
Already a market has opened up with bookmakers regarding where Benitez will manage next, with a return to the Premier League among the possibilities, where he has previously bossed Liverpool and Chelsea, winning trophies with both.
The current favourites to appoint Benitez, is the Spanish Football Association, with him as short as 4/1 with SkyBet to succeed Vicente Del Bosque after Euro 2016.
A return to former club Valencia is next favourite at 6/1, where he could replace none other than Gary Neville.
Among Premier League sides it is Newcastle United who are the favourites, at 16/1. Their position is currently taken, occupied by Steve McClaren, but his hold on the job cannot be especially secure given that the Toon sit in the relegation zone with 17 points from 20 games.
Manchester City follow at 25/1 along with Swansea City at the same price, with the job in south Wales presently available after Garry Monk was sacked last month.
If either Newcastle or Swansea want to make their move, now would be the time to do it while the transfer window is open, rather than wait until it is too late.
