Norwich make improved bid for highly-rated League Two youngster Ben Godfrey.
Norwich City have tabled a second bid for York City midfielder Ben Godfrey, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
A number of Premier League and Championship clubs have been tracking Godfrey with the midfielder catching the eye for League Two strugglers York this season with a number of outstanding performances.
Norwich have been leading the chase for Godfrey after heavily scouting the versatile performer in action this season.
The Canaries firmed up their interest in Godfry with a bid for the 17-year-old which was turned down by York at the end of December.
Godfrey has turned down two offers to sign professional terms at York as he is thought to be keen on a move to Carrow Road.
York are reluctant to lose Godfrey, but they face just getting a compensation fee for the youngster in January as he is not on professional terms at the club.
Norwich are hoping York will accept their improved offer for Godfrey so that they can secure the signature of the starlet wary that Godfrey's other suitors could come and make rival bids for the teenager.
