Leeds United are interested in signing Anthony Stokes from Celtic in the January transfer window.

Leeds United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the interest in Celtic striker Anthony Stokes.

As reported by HITC Sport earlier in the week, Championship outfit Leeds want to sign Stokes in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old is struggling for playing time at Celtic and is unlikely to feature in too many games for the Scottish Premiership giants during the second half of the season.

The Republic of Ireland international has been on the books of the Bhoys since 2010 and has a contract until June 2017.

Leeds are looking for a striker at the moment in order to boost their chances of a top-six finish in the Championship this season.

Stokes, a former Arsenal prospect, has experience of playing in England with Sunderland, Sheffield United (loan) and Crystal Palace (loan).

Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on the interest in Stokes.
