“There are some experienced players here, some international players,” said the England international right-back. “Hugo [Lloris] is France’s captain and he’s a big presence in the dressing room, but he still speaks to everyone with respect - he doesn’t talk down to anyone, and I think it’s key for someone coming through.”
Lloris has been on the books of Tottenham since 2012 and is arguably the only world-class player in the current squad.
The France international is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and is in brilliant form at the moment.
The 29-year-old former Lyon star has kept seven clean sheets in 19 league games for Spurs so far this season, making 1.95 saves per game and 2.64 saves per goal on average.
Lloris is a senior figure in the Tottenham camp, and he will be important for the team in their bid to win the Premier League title this campaign.
The North London outfit are in the running for the league title, and it will be important for them that the Frenchman continues to play well between the posts.
