Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony appears to have confirmed that Leicester City defender Callum Elder will return to the ABAX Stadium when he returns to full health.
When asked whether Elder would return to Posh on Twitter, MacAnthony responded with the word ‘yes’.
Elder has been on loan at Posh for much of campaign, but his time at the League One club was cut short when he picked up a foot injury.
The 20-year-old defender had to return to Leicester to receive treatment, and he underwent an operation to solve his problem.
Elder is likely to be out until March, according to FourFourTwo, but when he does return to fitness a return to Posh seems to have been agreed.
Elder had become an establish part of Graham Westley’s team before his injury, impressing with his displays at left-back.
The Australian youth international was comfortable going forward and also very solid defensively.
In his absence, Posh have had to sign Lawrie Wilson on loan from Bolton Wanderers to fill the void on the left hand side of their defence.
