Birmingham defender Paul Robinson tweets heartfelt message to Demarai Gray on Twitter after Leicester move

Birmingham City FC - St. Andrews

Demarai Gray moved from Birmingham City to Leicester City this week.

Birmingham City defender Paul Robinson has tweeted Demarai Gray to tell him that he will be missed at St. Andrews, after the winger completed a move to Leicester City earlier this week.

Gray has left Birmingham to join up with the Foxes, and Robinson could not hide his disappointment at the 19-year-old’s exit.

The experienced defender did have some advice for his former teammate though - and publicly congratulated him on the switch.

Gray came through Birmingham’s academy and made over 80 appearances for them, despite still only being 19.

The flying winger caught the eye with his skill and pace, and it was only a matter of time before his talents were noticed by top level clubs.

Leicester beat off the competition to sign the wide man, and Gray will now be looking to prove he can cope in the Premier League.

He joins Claudio Ranieri’s side at an exciting time - with the Foxes currently occupying a place in the top four.

Gray will be competing with the likes of Riyad Mahrez, Nathan Dyer and Marc Albrighton for a place in the starting line-up at the King Power Stadium.
