Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 with Everton on Sunday evening, meaning they have now drawn nine of their 20 Premier League games this season.

Everton took the lead as ex-Spurs winger Aaron Lennon came back to haunt his former club, smashing a superb striker into the top corner, but Tottenham hit back as Dele Alli scored a stunning volley from a long, pinpoint Toby Alderweireld pass.

Both teams had chances to score the winner, but it ended 1-1 - a result that will frustrate Spurs having hit the woodwork twice through Harry Kane and Ben Davies.

The result means that Tottenham sit six points adrift of league leaders Arsenal, but have still lost only twice all season - the fewest in the Premier League, alongside Leicester City.

After the final whistle, a host of Tottenham players took to Twitter to give their views on the draw, with Toby Alderweireld stating that he was unhappy because Spurs deserved more.

Left back Ben Davies commented on a tough game but is looking ahead to the FA Cup tie against Leicester City, whilst Harry Kane stated that Spurs need to be more clinical.

Meanwhile, teenage hero Alli admitted he was delighted to score yet another goal, but was disappointed to not have won the game.
