Tottenham fans react on Twitter to Tom Carroll's performance against Everton

White Hart Lane 6

Tottenham Hotspur played out a 1-1 draw with Everton this weekend.

With Mousa Dembele out injured Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino continued to show his faith in Tom Carroll for the Premier League clash with Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has played his way into Pochettino’s plans in recent weeks, appearing at one point or another in Tottenham’s last five league matches.

Given the squad depth at White Hart Lane these days, Carroll may have felt he had little chance of making an impact this season. But that is certainly not the case, and against Everton the midfielder impressed, proving he should not be forgotten despite the emergence of Dele Alli and Eric Dier in the centre of the park.

Tottenham went behind when former player Aaron Lennon scored a great goal but Alli matched it with a sublime finish to ensure Spurs headed back to North London with a point.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what Tottenham fans thought of Carroll’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
