Aaron Lennon put the Toffees ahead in the lead midway through the first half, and Dele Alli equalised on the stroke of half time.
Former Spurs midfielder Hazard was following the match, and he was pleased with the final result.
Graham Roberts, a former Tottenham defender, has suggested on Twitter that the next two league games at White Hart Lane - against Leicester City and Sunderland - are very important and has also praised 19-year-old midfielder Alli.

Tottenham are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 20 matches.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are six points behind leaders Arsenal and are still in the running for the league title.
The North London outfit will take on Leicester City at White Hart Lane in the third round of the FA Cup this coming Sunday.
