As confirmed by the official Leicester Twitter account, Demarai Gray completed his transfer from Birmingham to the Foxes today.
The young winger, 19, is considered one of the brightest talents in English football, and arrives at the King Power Stadium on a four-and-a-half year contract.
A graduate of Birmingham’s academy, he leaves the Championship side after 78 first-team games, with a return of eight goals and four assists.
An England youth international as well, Gray has a future that many believe will see him establish himself as a Premier League star and key part of the English international set-up.
Considering his reputation, Leicester managed a real coup by securing his services, with some of England’s biggest clubs said to be tracking him in recent months.
However, the youngster opted to sign for the Foxes, knowing that first-team chances are likely to be there for the taking as long as he tries, and fans took to Twitter to express their delight at the transfer.
The Foxes’ supporters are well aware they have secured a real talent, and they are looking forward to seeing the winger turn out in a blue shirt in the coming weeks.
