HITC Sport understands a number of clubs are tracking Tranmere Rovers striker James Norwood.
A host of Football League clubs are weighing up a move for Tranmere Rovers striker James Norwood in the January transfer window, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Norwood has impressed at Tranmere this season since joining the club last summer from Forest Green.
The 25-year-old has scored nine goals and laid on five assists in 20 games this season as Tranmere look to win promotion from the Vanarama National League back to the Football League.
Norwood's performances have not gone unnoticed with scouts from Championship and League One sides flocking to Prenton Park to cast an eye over the talented forward.
Former Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace youngster Norwood came to prominence at Exeter but left the club in 2011 to join Forest Green.
Norwood scored 50 goals for Forest Green during his four seasons at the club, helping them reach the Conference play-offs semi-finals last term.
Tranmere are reluctant to lose their star striker in January, but they are unlikely to be able to resist any big-money offers for Norwood should his suitors firm up their interest this month.
