The Tottenham Hotspur teenager continues to impress.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has selected his team of the week for the Telegraph, and he singled out Spurs midfielder Dele Alli for special praise.

The 19-year-old scored his fifth goal of the season in a 1-1 draw away to Everton on Sunday and Redknapp hailed what was another great showing from the youngster.

“The outstanding performance of the weekend for me was from Dele Alli,” Redknapp wrote. “He has got everything and he is turning into the complete footballer.

“I thought he was absolutely magnificent against Everton.”

Alli signed for Tottenham last January but spent the rest of the campaign on loan at MK Dons, where he finished with 16 goals and 11 assists in 44 matches.

Those who had been watching him closely knew Tottenham had bagged a bargain but few expected him to make an immediate impact for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

The truth is Alli is now a key part of this Spurs side and one of the first names on the team-sheet week in, week out, proving categorically that if you are good enough you are old enough.

As Redknapp said, he has it in his locker to become the complete player and that is a very exciting prospect for Tottenham and their fans.
