Redknapp, who has been out of management for almost a year having left Queens Park Rangers in February 2015, is now working as as pundit for BT Sport - and has had his say on the Premier League relegation situation.
Aston Villa currently sit bottom of the table with just eight points from 20 games after being beaten 3-1 by Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, with many believing that Remi Garde's men are already doomed.
Just one win, which came all the way back on the first day of the season against Bournemouth, means Villa could even rival Derby County's record for the lowest points total in Premier League history, which stands at 11 points.
Seven points above Villa lie Sunderland, and then Newcastle United on 17 points, Swansea City on 19 points, Bournemouth on 21 points and Norwich City on 23 points in a congested mix of teams at the bottom.
It's shaping up to be a tense battle to avoid the relegation, and ex-Tottenham manager Redknapp has offered his prediction on who will slip down to the Championship.
Speaking to The Telegraph, Redknapp has tipped Aston Villa, Sunderland and Swansea City for relegation - but explained why he is concerned about Steve McClaren's Newcastle United, given that the Magpies have picked up one point from their last four games.
"It’s very tough to decide who the three will be, but I think Aston Villa are gone," said Redknapp. "As for who will join them, Sunderland are making a fight of it under Sam Allardyce and he has never been relegated, but I think their luck will run out this time."
"I’m worried about Newcastle. They should not be where they are in the table, but I think they have still got enough quality there and the crowd will pull them over the line. Norwich and Bournemouth could well be dragged back into trouble, but if I have to choose another team to go down, I think it will be Swansea City," he added.
