Don Hutchison has launched a fierce defence of John Stones on Twitter after the Everton defender tried a risky piece of skill during his side's match against Tottenham.
Everton and Spurs played out a 1-1 draw yesterday, but the Goodison Park crowd became agitated at some stages during the fixture.
Stones’ piece of skill in the final moments, where he embarked on a dribble in his own penalty area, was a particular moment when the crowd got on one of their own players' backs.
Stones could visibly be seen telling Everton’s supporters to calm down, after successfully winning a free-kick, and Hutchison was keen to defend the England international on social media.

Arsenal youngster Daniel Crowley also was impressed by Stones’ confidence, and he took to Twitter during the match.

Stones has built up a reputation as a defender who is comfortable in possession, and his unflustered approach is what makes him so valuable in Everton’s team.
Roberto Martinez demands that his side retain possession, and Stones helps them to build their play from the back.
The youngster was in fine form against Tottenham, as Everton picked up a creditable draw.
The Merseyside outfit went in front when Aaron Lennon scored a belter, but Dele Alli pegged them back and the two teams were left to share the spoils.
