Derby County fans react on Twitter to Chris Martin's performance against Middlesbrough

Derby County were beaten 2-0 by Middlesbrough at the weekend.

Derby County supporters appear divided over Chris Martin, following the striker’s latest display against Middlesbrough.

Derby were beaten 2-0 at the Riverside, and Martin failed to make much of an impression on the contest.

The Scotland international was not at his best, as his side suffered a damaging defeat against their fellow promotion chasers.

Middlesbrough waited until the final 10 minutes, but late goals from Albert Adomah and George Friend provided them with the victory, which takes them four points clear of Paul Clement’s men at the top of the table.

Derby fans, naturally, were not best pleased after the match - and Martin received some of the blame for the defeat.

The 26-year-old forward has not scored as prolifically as he did last term, and some supporters feel that his standards have dipped.

Other Rams fans have defended the front man, stating that his link-up play makes him an integral player - even when he isn’t scoring particularly frequently.

Here is the best reaction from Derby fans to Martin’s display on social media site Twitter.
