The Baggies beat Stoke on Saturday afternoon for their second home win on the bounce.
The home crowd were left happy on Saturday afternoon as defender Jonny Evans scored a late winner to secure all three points for his side against Stoke.
That was their second home win on the bounce after seeing off Newcastle United last time around, a drastic upturn in their home form, which had seen them win just two in nine this season.
They are now nine points from the relegation zone and Fletcher has hailed the club’s fans for being brilliant in their win over Mark Hughes side.
“When it is tight in game late on as it was against Stoke, you need the help of your supporters and they were brilliant,” he told wba.co.uk.
“They have been patient, they haven’t made it a difficult place for us to play which does happen elsewhere and can hamper performances.”
“Instead, the fans have really stuck by us and the players have responded. We are very lucky in that respect and we’re grateful for it.”
Tony Pulis’ will now be hoping his side can maintain their home form for the rest of the season as they look to stay well clear of the relegation battle.
They are currently inside the top ten for home form, having picked up ten points from their home games so far this season.
And with the likes of Newcastle and Swansea City, both who are in a relegation fight this season to come at the Hawthorns they will be confident of adding to that tally.
