The Toffees failed to return to winning ways in the Premier League, as they played out a 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Goodison Park.
Lennon, who joined Everton from Spurs on a permanent contract in the summer of 2015, put the home team in the lead midway through the first half.
The North London outfit restored parity on the stroke of half time when Dele Alli found the target from close range.
Lennon has taken to Twitter to thank both the Everton and the Tottenham fans, and has also expressed his delight at scoring at Goodison Park.
Special thanks to both sets of fans for there support for me today means a lot!!!— Aaron Lennon (@AaronLennon12) January 3, 2016
