West Ham beat Liverpool 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, with Andy Carroll and Dimitri Payet stealing the headlines.

West Ham United continued their remarkable record against the so-called 'big clubs' by beating Liverpool 2-0 at Upton Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers have beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City this season, whilst they also won at Anfield before facing Liverpool again yesterday.

Slaven Bilic's men, full of confidence after beating Southampton 2-1 on Monday evening, took the lead when Michail Antonio headed home Enner Valencia's across after a sweeping counter-attack.

Ex-Liverpool striker Andy Carroll then came back to haunt his former club, powering home a superb header from Mark Noble's cross, giving West Ham a 2-0 victory.

After the game, West Ham fans took to Twitter to discuss Carroll's performance, and were full of praise for the giant target man striker.

Fans noticed an improvement in Carroll's display from his performances at the start of the season, and believe he is now starting to thrive under Bilic.

Meanwhile, supporters also used Twitter to comment on Dimitri Payet's return, with the French playmaker coming off the bench in the second half having been ruled out through injury for over two months - and some even compared him to former Hammers star Carlos Tevez.
