Southampton fans rip into 'disgraceful' Wanyama on Twitter after Norwich loss

The Saints faithful haven't taken too kindly to another sending off for the 24-year-old.

Southampton fans weren't happy with Victor Wanyama on Saturday after the midfielder earned himself an unnecessary red card against Norwich City.

The South Coast side lost 1-0 at Carrow Road and weren't helped by Wanyama's sending off.

Nor were they helped by Sadio Mane's failure to attend a pre-match meeting on time - something that cost him a place in Ronald Koeman's side, disrupting Southampton's rhythm at short notice before the game.

As Opta stats show, 24-year-old Wanyama has committed more fouls than any other Southampton player in the Premier League this season, receiving three bookings and being sent off twice (also more than any of his team-mates).

Ironically, Mane is Southampton's second-biggest culprit when it comes to giving away free-kicks, having also been sent off this term.

Do both players have a future away from St Mary's?

Many Southampton fans seem to think so - and a number of them don't seem to care. The Saints' current run of form has left supporters frustrated and they were keen to express their disappointment with Wanyama on Twitter after the Norwich loss...
