Sheffield Wednesday players react on Twitter to Fulham win

Sheffield Wednesday - The Owls

Barry Bannan and Liam Palmer were more than happy with the result.

Sheffield Wednesday continue to impress in the Championship this season. The Owls bounced back from their recent 1-0 defeat to table-topping Middlesbrough with a 1-0 win against Fulham.

It was a game settled by a special goal from a man who deals in them. Ross Wallace cracked home a superb winner in the 29th minute of the game at Craven Cottage.

The result keeps Wednesday in touch of the play-off places in seventh spot and just two points off of Ipswich Town in the final play-off spot.

After the game there was plenty of the Wednesday players taking to Twitter to celebrate the result.

Liam Palmer was obviously happy to get 2016 off to a winning start and he was not alone. Midfielder Barry Bannan was over the moon with the game and he also thanked the away support for their support on the road yet again:

It wasn't just the players that took to Twitter.

The club's charismatic boss Carlos Carvalhal also sent out a message on Twitter to his fans after an excellent performance from his side:

Wednesday fans will hope that this is just the beginning of a special 2016.
