Rangers players and ex-Ibrox star Maurice Edu react on Twitter after victory

Rangers beat Dumbarton 6-0 away from home on Saturday afternoon.

Rangers followed up their 4-2 win over Hibernian on Monday by hammering Dumbarton 6-0 away from home on Saturday afternoon.

The Gers coasted to victory against Hibs, and did the same against Dumbarton, with veteran striker Kenny Miller grabbing a hat-trick.

Martyn Waghorn, Andy Halliday and James Tavernier also found the back of the net in the second half, as Rangers again showed why they are tipped to win the Scottish Championship this season.

The result keeps Rangers three points clear of Falkirk and Hibernian at the top of the Scottish Championship, with mark Warburton's men on course to win the title, and subsequent promotion back to the top flight of Scottish football.

After beating Dumbarton 6-0, Rangers players took to Twitter in order to give their verdict on the display, with new signing Harry Forrester claiming it was a 'great way to start the year' having watched the game from the stands just days after arriving from Doncaster Rovers.

Dominic Ball, Jordan Thompson and goalscorer Tavernier also took to Twitter in order to pass on messages to supporters, whilst a former Ibrox star also gave his view on the win.

Midfielder Maurice Edu, currently with MLS side Phiadelphia Union, made 125 appearances for Rangers before leaving for Stoke City in 2012, and tweeted about a 'dominant' Rangers victory.

Here are some of the tweets from Rangers players past and present after the 6-0 victory over Dumbarton on Saturday...
