The Coventry City loanee is shining in League One.
The 18-year-old is currently out on loan at Coventry City where he is earning rave reviews with his incredible performances.
The England Under-19 international has scored 16 goals in 22 appearances for the League One club and yesterday he picked up his first hat-trick in professional football.
He netted three goals before half-time as Coventry ran out 5-0 winners at Crewe Alexandra.
Armstrong also bagged an assist in the game as Newcastle fans continue to consider what ,ight become of Armstrong at St James Park.
Many have commented on Newcastle potentially bringing him back early, but that has not happened. Instead they brought Ivan Toney back from Barnsley and you can understand why.
Armstrong is enjoying his time at Coventry and is a long-term prospect for Newcastle. Disrupting the progress he is currently making would be a poor decision.
Although not all Newcastle fans will, understandably, agree with that assessment - especially after they toiled in front of goal against Arsenal on Saturday.
Here is some of the best reaction from fans on Twitter...
