Liverpool were beaten 2-0 by West Ham United on Saturday.
Liverpool couldn't make it three victories in a row on Saturday as they were beaten 2-0 by West Ham United at Upton Park.
The Reds had recorded 1-0 wins over Leicester City and Sunderland during the Christmas period, with Christian Benteke scoring the winning goal in both games.
However, Jurgen Klopp suffered another away defeat, with Michail Antonio and ex-Liverpool striker Andy Carroll both scoring headers to hand West Ham a 2-0 win at Upton Park.
Since Coutinho and Firmino demolished Manchester City in a 4-1 win back in November, neither player has really managed to kick on, with no goals and just one assist between the two players.
Saturday was another disappointing afternoon for both players, as they failed to make any real impact on the game, continuing their poor recent form.
Liverpool fans took to Twitter after the final whistle to blast both players, suggesting that Klopp should look to drop Firmino, and the Reds got a poor deal for the ex-Hoffenheim star when players such as Jurado of Watford may have been better.
Meanwhile, fans stated that Coutinho needs to become more consistent, as some stated that maybe he isn't as good as first though, and others concerned that he has had his head turned by a possible move to Barcelona.
Here is how Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter after Coutinho and Firmino's performances against West Ham United...
Is Coutinho in an irreversible downwards mental spiral? Is his mind in another club? One of the biggest worries of #LFC— Ken Hætta (@Kenjh71) January 3, 2016
How does Coutinho go from looking like a £50 million pound player to a £15 million pound player month by month?! #LFC— Chris Gregory (@RedGregster208) January 3, 2016
I know we have bigger problems but I don't think Coutinho is a good as we previously thought. #LFC— Kieran Carville (@ChiIi_Palmer) January 2, 2016
How much longer are we going to let Coutinho off? Nothing short of awful again today, along with the other 10 players. #LFC— Daniel White (@DanielWhite_93) January 2, 2016
There is one positive from recent games. If Coutinho keeps playing like he has been, Barca won't want to buy him anymore... #LFC— Mike (@aguyiusedtoknow) January 2, 2016
Put simply Firmino has had 1 good game in 5 months. He has been awful and quite simply does not deserve to be in the starting line up #LFC— Alex (@RoxItRoxIt) January 2, 2016
Roberto firmino is a great example of Liverpool buying poor players that are overpriced. Transfer committee should be ashamed. #LFC #— Jamie raby (@jamieraby8) January 2, 2016
Is Firmino any better than Jurado at Watford, who will have cost a fraction of what Firmino cost? Pathetic transfer dealings by #LFC.— Danny Le Maistre (@dannylemaistre) January 2, 2016
