Leeds United failed to win against MK Dons in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The New Zealand international striker did not feature in the Championship clash against MK Dons at Elland Road due to a hamstring injury.
"Wood has been brilliant for us for the past few weeks," Bridcutt told BBC Radio Leeds. "He has been a key player for us, and it was a bit of a blow to miss him today. Today's performance probably showed that we need him a bit more."
Despite being the home team, Leeds had to settle for a point, playing out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road. Rob Hall put The Dons in the lead on the half-hour mark, and Antony Kay scored an own goal in the 87th minute.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road, the West Yorkshire outfit had 61% of the possession, took three shots of which none was on target, and earned six corners.
Visitors MK Dons had just 39% of the possession, took seven shots of which two were on target, and earned five corners.
Leeds are 13th in the Championship table at the moment with 32 points from 25 matches, nine points behind Ipswich Town, who are currently sixth and occupy the final playoff spot.
