The Leeds United right-back came off the bench on Saturday and did not look out of place.
Leeds United have one of the most exciting groups of youngsters in England right now and another has recently followed the likes of Lewis Cook, Charlie Taylor and Alex Mowatt into the first-team in the form of right-back Lewie Coyle.
The 20-year-old is widely regarded as one of Leeds’ most talented youngsters and after making his Whites’ debut against Nottingham Forest last month he got another 13 minutes from the bench, this time in a 1-1 draw against MK Dons.
With Sam Byram, Gaetano Berardi and Scott Wootton all ahead of Coyle in the pecking order for now, chances will be few and far between, but if he continues to impress in his cameo appearances he could give Leeds manager Steve Evans a selection headache in due course.
After appearing for the first time with the senior side at Elland Road, Coyle took to Twitter to express his delight, and some of Leeds’ fans were quick to respond.
“Buzzing to have made my home debut today,” Coyle wrote on Saturday evening, and it will be interesting to see how January pans out for a player with a very bright future in the game.
