The Leeds United youngster impressed during his brief cameo against MK Dons this weekend.
Some Leeds United fans have been getting excited about young right-back Lewie Coyle for quite some time despite his lack of first-team football.
After all, the 20-year-old had been making waves in the Whites’ academy for years and he was a consistent performer for the club’s under-21s.
With three senior Leeds players also competing for a right-back spot in the form of Gaetano Berardi, Sam Byram and Scott Wootton, a loan move seemed the most likely option for Coyle, but the emergency window came and went without any movement.
The January transfer window could yet see Coyle temporarily leave Leeds, but whatever the future brings he built on his one-minute cameo against Nottingham Forest to impress after coming off the bench against MK Dons on Saturday.

Coyle may only just be starting his professional career, but he gave an exciting glimpse of what is to come, with a 100 per cent passing accuracy and 100 per cent tackle success.
He also won four duels, one aerial battle, recovered the ball twice and did not commit a single foul, and while Coyle was only on the field for 13 minutes he was not overawed by the occasion.
Coyle has the innate talent and the confidence to be a huge success at Leeds in the years ahead, and on recent evidence he is desperate to get started.
