Tottenham cannot blow the chance to miss out on the top four.
Former forward Garth Crooks has told The BBC that Tottenham cannot blow their chance to miss out on finishing in the top four.
Goodison Park is not an easy place to go though, and Tottenham played well to earn a point, and are well set to push up the table, with their next Premier League game at home to Leicester City, who are four points above them.
Garth Crooks is discounting Spurs from the title hunt, but believes their display against Everton shows they should be a top four side.
He suggests their head coach would be right to be angry if they cannot secure a Champions League spot.
He said: "I've gone on record and stated that Spurs are not title contenders but on this performance Mauricio Pochettino is entitled to be furious if they don't make the top four."
Crooks selected midfield prodigy Dele Alli in his team of the week, with the teenager netting his fifth goal of the season since joining up in the summer.
Tottenham have one of the league's best goalkeepers in Hugo Lloris, and the league's meanest defence, and if they can just strengthen in attack now the transfer window is open, they will be very well set to clinch a top four spot, in a season in which Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all faltering.
If they cannot, Pochettino will not be the only one furious - supporters will be asking where it all went wrong, and chairman Daniel Levy needs to spend this month to ensure fingers are not pointed in his direction.
