Sunderland are interested in signing Sandro from Queens Park Rangers in the January transfer window.

Sunderland fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the news that the club are looking to sign Sandro from Queens Park Rangers in the January transfer window.

HITC Sport reported on Friday that Premier League outfit Sunderland want to recruit the defensive midfielder.

Sandro, 26, has been on the books of Rangers since 2014 when he joined them from London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Brazil international knows the Premier League inside out, and Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce wants to recruit him this month in order to enhance his side’s chances of survival in the English top flight.

Sandro has featured in 11 Championship games for QPR so far this season, creating six chances in the process.

The former Internacional star has a pass accuracy of 68% and a shot accuracy of 20%, and has won 35 headers, three dribbles and 16 tackles.
