Stan Collymore suggests a potential replacement for Remi Garde at Aston Villa

Aston Villa are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Stan Collymore has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Aston Villa should appoint Nigel Pearson as their manager.

Remi Garde is in charge of Villa at the moment, but results and performances under the Frenchman have been dire.

The Villans are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Villa are currently at the foot of the league table, having managed to collect just eight points from 20 matches.

Former Villa striker Collymore does not seem to rate Garde highly and believes that Pearson is the right man to take the club forward.

Pearson did a brilliant job at Leicester City season, as he kept the Foxes up in the Premier League.

The 52-year-old did not make a huge impact at Hull City, where he was in charge from June 2010 to November 2011, but his work at Leicester cannot be undermined.

Pearson, who is without a managerial job at the moment, knows the Premier League and the Championship inside out.
