Hull City won 2-1 against Queens Park Rangers in the Championship on Friday evening.
Great away win for us @HullCity and nice points to start the year off— Robert snodgrass (@robsnodgrass7) January 1, 2016
After a goalless first half, Abel Hernandez put the visiting Hull in the lead just past the hour mark. Polter restored parity for QPR in the 86th minute, but the Tigers scored the winner late on.
Rangers goalkeeper Rob Green collided with defender Grant Hall while trying to deal with a Sam Clucas cross, and the ball ricocheted in off Adama Diomande.
Over the course of the 90minutes at Loftus Road, visitors Hull had 55% of the possession, took 12 shots of which just two were on target, and earned eight corners.
Steve Bruce’s side are third in the Championship table at the moment with 47 points from 25 matches, just two points behind leaders Middlesbrough, who have two games in hand.
