Rangers midfielder Jordan Thompson sends message on Twitter ahead of Dumbarton clash

Rangers will face Dumbarton away from home in the Scottish Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Rangers midfielder Jordan Thompson has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at the prospect of playing against Dumbarton away from home today.

The Gers will take on Dumbarton at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium in the Scottish Championship this afternoon.

Thompson, who is just 18 years of age and is an important player for the team, is looking forward to the game.

Rangers will head into the clash against Dumbarton on the back of a 4-2 victory over title rivals Hibernian at Ibrox in Glasgow.

Mark Warburton’s side are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 44 points from 18 matches.

The Glasgow giants are three points clear of Falkirk and Hibernian, who are second and third respectively in the standings.

Meanwhile, Dumbarton currently find themselves seventh in the league table with 18 points from 19 matches.

Stevie Aitken’s side will head into the match against Rangers on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Falkirk away from home.
